Fertility Is a Reflection of Whole-Body Health

One of the most important takeaways from this conversation is that fertility is not separate from overall health.

Dr. Susan explains that inflammation, environmental toxins, chronic stress, poor sleep, and nutrient deficiencies can all impact reproductive health and hormone balance.

That’s why supporting your body through:

  • Nourishing food

  • Healthy movement

  • Stress reduction

  • Detoxification

  • Proper hydration

  • Sleep

  • Nervous system regulation

can all play a role in helping the body function more optimally.

This is something I’ve seen for years working with women through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, pelvic floor healing, and deep core rehabilitation.

Your body is always communicating with you.

Gentle Movement Matters More Than You Think

I especially loved our conversation around movement.

Dr. Susan emphasized that women do not need extreme workouts to support fertility or hormone health. In fact, too much intensity and chronic stress on the body can actually work against healing and hormone balance.

Instead, she recommends:

  • Walking

  • Gentle movement

  • Pilates

  • Yoga

  • Breathwork

  • Time outside in nature

  • Relaxing the nervous system

  • Improving circulation and blood flow

This aligns so deeply with the work I teach inside:

Movement should support your body — not punish it.

Stress + Fertility Are Deeply Connected

Dr. Susan explained how elevated cortisol levels can interfere with hormonal balance, ovulation, insulin regulation, and overall reproductive function.

And honestly, this is something so many women experience today.

We live in a world of constant stimulation, pressure, rushing, and overwhelm.

Sometimes the most healing thing we can do is:

  • Slow down

  • Breathe

  • Walk outside

  • Improve sleep

  • Nourish ourselves consistently

  • Support the nervous system

  • Release tension from the pelvis and body

This is why I’m such a believer in fascia-focused movement, breathwork, and reconnecting women to their bodies in a gentler, smarter way.

Detoxification + Fertility

Another powerful part of our conversation was detoxification.

Dr. Susan shared how environmental toxins, pesticides, plastics, poor water quality, and even personal care products can impact fertility and hormone health.

She encourages women to focus on:

  • Organic foods when possible

  • Better water filtration

  • Cleaner skincare and beauty products

  • Reducing toxic load

  • Supporting detoxification pathways naturally

This is also why I’m passionate about supporting the body through gentle detoxification and reducing inflammation as part of overall wellness.
