Glute Gripping Impacting Your Core Function

deep core movement Oct 24, 2019

One of the biggest misconceptions I see with clients is they think the tighter they squeeze or clench their glutes, the more they are working their glutes. THIS IS NOT TRUE!

Gripping your glutes can cause your pelvis to tuck under which shuts off your deep core and puts unnecessary pressure on your pelvic floor. Over time, this pressure causes back pain, incontinence, neck pain and more.

You can still get a great booty workout without your body screaming at you by lightly engaging your deep core, turning on your glutes and zipping up through the top of your head.

To help you start zipping up and stop gripping, check out my FREE Core Wellness Series on my website. I give you a TON of great information as well as a free workout and exercises to help awaken your deep core, eliminate those aches + pains and have you start feeling stronger + more energized than ever before!
