Want to Stop Peeing Your Pants When You Run? Here’s How

running and peeing

Since starting out as a pre and postnatal exercise specialist, I’ve realized the importance of understanding how everything in the body is connected.

*I mean…You can't put knee pain in its own box! Something somewhere else in the body is provoking it.*

When I started working with women, I began to notice how the pelvis plays a major role in the functionality of the body especially when it comes to incontinence…

>>Incontience is when you have a lack of control with your bladder and if ignored can lead to more dysfunctions in the body.<<

This is why it's important for women to understand what's causing their incontinence...because peeing your pants is NOT normal!

I want to challenge you to pay attention to what your body is trying to tell you when you experience leakage from running, jumping, and other high-intensity exercises.

This is your chance to take a step back and reevaluate how you're connecting with your body. I know this can be difficult to do because it's instilled in us that you have to work up a sweat to get a good workout in.

But hear me out: what if you flipped that way of thinking to, "I get to take slow down my movement practice to serve my body better, improve my longevity, and live a pain-free life."

>>When you look at it from that perspective, is a high-intensity workout really worth the dysfunction?<<

Because if you keep pushing and pushing then at some point the weakest link is going to break.

It doesn't matter how old you are or what stage of life you're in, what matters is that these things are coming up for you and that your body is trying to communicate with you.

>>You have the power to rebalance your body when you start to look at it as a whole and not putting individual symptoms into a box.<<

And it all starts by rebalancing and realigning your pelvis in a safe and effective way to leave you stronger than before and so you can set your body up for success.

Now you’re probably wondering, “Okay Erica, now I know that I need to realign with my pelvic floor before I get back into running...But how do I start?”
