Watch out ladies, I'm about to introduce you to a new tool for your movement toolbox and their name is Breath.

*Move over Phillips screwdriver and make room for this POWER tool!*

>>Breathwork can help improve and strengthen core function as well as the entire body.<<

Being able to breathe into different areas of the body can help reenergize it so you can keep up with what life has to throw at you.

Below are my top tips for improving your breath practice. Let’s dive in!

  1. Don't force it.

If you can't seem to get your breath to go past your chest, that's okay and completely normal! You cannot force these breathing techniques to happen, instead visualize it going deeper.

  1. Relax the shoulders.

When breathing in, allow the shoulders to remain relaxed while guiding the breath out into the ribs. If the breath goes up into the ears then it can cause compression in the spine, mid-back, and neck.

  1. Be patient.

In the beginning, you may not feel what I am teaching you. But remember that where you are is exactly where you're supposed to be. By recognizing that, you can be open to trusting the process and seeing what's possible for your body.

  1. Understand the power of breath.

Educating yourself on the role that breath plays in your fascia, metabolism, and stress levels can empower you to make it more of a priority in your daily life.
