How To Boost Immune System Naturally

wellness May 21, 2020

Let’s be real: I am ALL about adding supplements to uplevel my health.

*Clean and natural supplements of course!*

Can you relate, ladies?

Despite my love for experimenting to see what works for my body, I have my tried and true natural ways to help boost my family and I's immune systems.

*If it ain't broke don't fix it!*

Now you may be saying, “Erica, I have already tried using supplements and saw no difference.”

But friend, there's more to naturally boosting your immune system then adding in natural supplements...it's all connected as I always say!

Today I’m going to give you 6 ways to boost your immune system naturally. Let’s dive in!

Movement

Getting your daily movement practice in each day is key to keeping your body healthy. My training methods + techniques are unique in the fact that they are designed to tap into the fascia of your body. Fascia is a band of connective tissue, primarily composed of collagen that runs through your muscles and around your organs. When you can safely and effectively strengthen your current fascia and build new, that’s when the real results begin to take shape!

Mindfulness

Stress is one of the main causes of disease in the body. To help keep your stress and anxiety as low as possible, I recommend incorporating a mindfulness practice into your daily routine. This doesn’t have to be for a long time and can consist of taking a few deep breaths throughout your day. Just breathing deep into your body can help destress your body + mind, leaving you feeling ready to tackle whatever lies ahead.

Visualization

Visualization is such a powerful tool because once the mind understands what the body needs to do, the body is quick to follow. Visualize yourself achieving the goals you have set for yourself and you may find you get to the finish line much quicker than you may have anticipated.

Supplementation

There are a TON of supplements on the market today, making it impossible to know which brand, type or version is right for you. Here are a few recommendations that I use on myself and my family:

  • Seeking Health Electrolytes. I love these packets because they are super easy to
use, portable and work to hydrate the body on the cellular level.
  • Liposomal Vitamin C. Not all Vitamin C supplements are created equal.
Liposomal Vitamin C is better because it has a higher absorption rate which can
give your immune system that extra leg up!
  • Elderberry. Elderberry is a natural supplement used to boost your immune
system and is often used to treat the common cold and flu.
  • Magnesium. Magnesium is a nutrient that the body needs to stay healthy. It is
also important for many processes in the body ranging from regulating blood
sugar and blood pressure to reducing inflammation in the body.
Digestion

Getting things moving and not allowing anything to stay stagnant in your gut can help boost your immunity. Leafy greens and celery juice are great ways to keep your digestive tract on track!

Sleep

Getting good quality sleep is essential for staying healthy! If you have a hard time falling asleep, I recommend drinking some chamomile tea before bed, reading a book and shutting off electronics at least 1 hour prior to your head hitting the pillow. These are all ways you can fall asleep faster and get a better night's sleep!

Friend, I hope this helped you change your perspective on ways to boost your immune system naturally.
