Use Mermaid Stretch To Release Tight Hips

Are you trying to release your tight hips?

*Friend, I feel you.*

I've been in the fitness space for a long time, and there are still instances where I need to open up my hips. When I'm not moving my body as much or not bringing awareness to how I'm holding myself, my hips will let me know.

If you can relate, I have news for you…

>>If you are experiencing tight hips, it's because your body is out of alignment.<<

It is what it is.

So, when I’m asked how to release tight hips, my response is: "Take a step back from your high-intensity workouts."

Consistently doing harder workouts can cause more harm than good... and your body is trying to tell you that! But that doesn't mean that there's nothing you can do about it.

In fact, Mermaid Stretch is one of my FAVORITE exercises because you are able to create space throughout your entire body.

Regardless of what exercises you're doing, you'll find the best results when you are able to stay lengthened and connected as you're going through your movement practice.

>>It may mean that you need to move slower through your workouts, but taking a step back is what can set you up for long-term success.<<

But the question remains: Are you going to listen to what your hips are trying to tell you?

If you followed the Mermaid Stretch tutorial below and your body is craving more, you'll love this 10-Minute Pilates Flow. It takes you through my favorite movements for when I need to connect with my pelvic floor and create space through my body. Get access to it >>HERE<< and start listening to your body today!
