Exercise Education Part 1: Are You Making These High-Intensity Workout Mistakes?

core connections Mar 01, 2022

"Change happens through movement and movement heals."

-Joseph Pilates

This quote is the only way I could think of to open up my brand new 4-part Exercise Education series, because so many of us want movement to enhance our life.

We want to avoid dysfunction, but think we have to "go hard or go home" with high-intensity workouts to get the physical appearance we desire, right?

You can have both, but that mindset isn't the way to do it.

>>The truth is, doing 10 minutes of movement every day is more effective than 2 longer workouts.<<

What does that tell us? It tells us that research backs up short intense workouts, but what's lacking is the education on how to move the body effectively.

…Which is exactly why I decided to invite Core Rehab Coach, Jen, on Core Connections to speak on movement technique in this 4-part series!

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • How often should you incorporate high-intensity workouts
  • Form > number of reps, weight, or pace
  • The key to changing old movement habits
  • The connection between overexercising and cortisol levels
  • 5 tips to making your high-intensity workouts more effective
