How To Make Homemade Hummus

Raise your hand if you struggle with getting your kids to eat their veggies. *My hand is up too ladies!*

As mamas, I feel like it’s inevitable. We can't drench cauliflower in chocolate, change a celery stick to look like a Tootsie Roll, or deep fry a carrot. *I feel ya friendthe struggle is real*  

As a core exercise specialist, I deeply understand the importance that nutrition has on our overall health. That's why I'm a huuuuuuge fan of dipping me and my kids' veggies in some homemade hummus.

In order to keep our body moving and grooving, we need to make sure that we are FUELING it in the cleanest way that we can.

So that's what I'm going to share with you my homemade hummus recipe that is regularly found in our refrigerator.

Here's how we do it in my kitchen:

  • 1 can of garbanzo beans drained, rinsed and peeled
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tbsp of water
  • 1 tsp honey

There you have it, blend it all together and you just made the ultimate veggie flavor enhancer.
