HOMEMADE HUMMUS

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of garbanzo beans drained, rinsed and peeled
  • ¼ cup of lemon juice
  • ¼ cup tahini 
  • 2 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tbsp of water
  • 1 tsp honey

Erica's Bonus Tip: The skin of the garbanzo bean is made of cellulose which is a hydrophilic dietary fiber and is hard for people to digest

Preparation:

  1. Blend together 
  2. Serve with veggies
